Tax on vehicle help pls

My tax expired last month. Been away and just tied to renew my tax but says I’m too late and need to do via post office with my 11 digit v5c logbook number. I have no idea where this is and have turned my home upside don looking for it. Kids start school tomorrow and I go back to work. I’m so confused what to do. DVLA long wait and I cannot get through anyone to speak to. Web chat was unhelpful. What can I do? I’m so annoyed with myself if I had just taken the form with me I could have renewed it over the phone but now I’m 6 days too late

You have to order a new log book with your reg and VIN. 11 digit number will also be on any tax reminder letters/email.

If you apply for a new log book, it might give you the option to tax at the end. Mine did when I had to get a replacement last year.

If not, the new log book came in 2 days for me.
