To think that Morrisons should have sorted this by now

Ordered a shop from Morrisons to be delivered between 11am and midday. 12.30pm still hadn’t arrived. I suspected the bad weather was causing delays so rang customer services. Was told the van had broken down and they were trying to get a replacement, and that I had been advised by email. Searched email, including spam - nothing. Was advised new ETA was between 1 and 1.30pm. 2pm still no shopping. Checked Morrisons website and the ETA had been changed to 15.30pm. 15.45 still no shopping. Checked again, ETA has been changed to 17.30pm. Rang customer services and they insisted emails had been sent to advise of all - checked and absolutely no email of any kind. They are now checking with the delay team and have passed on my email address so they can advise me of any updates - they say if shopping cannot be delivered today, will be tomorrow and I will be advised of a delivery time. Totally inconvenient as I’m at the hospital tomorrow. Not sure what to do next. Anyone had similar, and if so how did you resolve it ?

Cancel it and go to the shop instead? Would that be possible?

Has it turned up OP?

Whereabouts do you live OP as i had similar and wondered if it's the same store.

Mine was delivered the following day after several excuses.

No, I had similar performance from Sainsburys a few months ago though. Delivery for my elderly Mum at her address (not mine). They sent a message to say van had broken down and would have to be delivered next day. Then promptly cancelled the whole order as said no slots available next day. So I reordered for the day after that. Only to find the order had been delivered on tne original day and time after all and all put away by carer. Van had evidently not broken down at all. Sainsburys still showed the order as undelivered though.

Sainsburys then refused to cancel the replacement order until I complained so much I got put through to a different tream What with all the calls and waiting on hold I estimate I lost 3 hours of my time on this and it almost reduced me to tears.

Wishing you better luck OP!

I’m in a wheelchair and my mum has dementia so can’t really be left alone for any length of time. Most shopping is delivered in.

West Cheshire. And not the first time this has happened.

No - had an email from customer services saying it would be delivered tomorrow once they had determined an available delivery spot. No good, as I have a hospital appointment tomorrow which is likely to take several hours. Waited a considerable length of time to get through to customer services and explained the situation. They say they will cancel the order, but I’ve been messed about so much today I’m not inclined to believe them. So I’ve sent an email confirming that the order needs to be cancelled as they have not fulfilled the time slot booked and delivery tomorrow is not convenient.
