Venicci Travel System and Planes

HI,

We have our 7 week old daughter and looking at booking a few travels for 2025.

Now looking at the airlines guidance, I am not sure now whether our Venicci Travel system would fall under the permitted rules of most airlines or not.

Example: Looking at using the pram with the car seat to travel in. Would it be allowed to take it all the way to the gate and then get it back at the gate once arrived?

Would it most likley be treated as 1 item or 2 items for the baby? 2 items could be an issue if looking at bringing a travel cot as well.

Has anybody using a Venicci Travel System, or similar, have some expierence they could share with me?

Looking at AirlLingus/ BA/ Ryanair & Easyjet for 2025.

Many thanks

Not sure about that particular one but I just bought a basic, cheap (like £20), folding pushchair for travelling. Worked like a charm.

Buy a pram bag for the plane, both bits will fit in the XL one. Will protect from dirt but not damage.
Although when traveling haul with my child at 12 weeks I left my venicci at home and bought a cheap carrycot second hand pram as I didn't want my good one damaged. As it turned out even with the bag the airline broke it. They replaced it with a brand new Phil and teds and an umbrella buggy to do me until the P&T was delivered.
Travelled 4+times a year since long haul and never had another pram damaged.

A pram and a car seat will be 2 separate times unless you are using the car seat on the pram without the pram seat?

you Can take the pram to the gate the car seat will most likely go in the hold at check in

most airlines you don’t get them back at the gate they come back out with luggage

travelled 4 x a year with my child since she turned 9 months (she’s now 4)

a lot of stuff gets damaged. So I’d personally buy a cheaper stroller. Same for car seat as they get so thrown about by luggage handlers I wouldn’t want that car seat to then be my main one at home for safety reasons

Are you wanting to use the car seat on board or put it into the hold? It's anyone's guess whether they will class it as one or two items if put into the hold - but if you're giving the travel cot in at bulky luggage and taking the pram with car seat to the gate, then they might not realise that technically you're over the 2 items allowed.

If you want to use the car seat on board the aircraft you will need to book a seat for the baby and check the rules around what car seats they accept (even though this is usually confusing and contradictory).
