Not an aibu hit desperate...I'm on my period and for two days I've felt so bloody unwell with it. I usually suffer one day each month and quite often ha s a migraine with it. I know prevention is better than a cure so I'm well hydrated and I've eaten a bit more etc but my God, this month I'm floored. Migraine yesterday, headache over one eye currently ( bur way better than yesterday ), exhausted, nauseous, achey limbs. My mood doesn't suffer but I feel like I have the flu whenever I'm on for a couple of days. I wonder if Xmas being so busy and drinking alcohol when I wouldn't usually has played a part? Either way I'm begging you to share absolutely any and all remedies please, please, pleeeease. What do you do to feel better? Thank you!

I really sympathise OP. I've been really unwell with PMS before, to the point of fainting and throwing up and just feeling grim with terrible pain. All I can say is ibuprofen helped me more than anything.

Thank you so much for replying. It is so horrible, I lead such a healthy lifestyle and have to plan for each period like I'm planning to go on holiday. Rarely does it make a difference. I was really suggrring at work yesterday and my colleagues who meant well told me to sip water which does so little when you feel this unwell!

I also get a bit like this, have you tried treating yourself as if you have flu, lemsip etc?
I also find a cold compress on the back of my
Neck helps the headache.

Thank you, I haven't but that's a good idea. I managed to shake off the headache by eating a bowl of pasta with cream cheese and cheddar on it and loads of salt. I don't usually eat like that so maybe I need a bit more sustenance for my body to work with when I'm feeling like this.

Could you be low on iron? I get body aches/exhaustion during and after my period if I don't take an iron supplement.
