To expect more than 200 a month from these savings?

I have 50k in premium bonds and get around 200 a month. Surely there’s somewhere else I could put this to make more than 200 a month? I’m not very savvy with this sort of thing!

You’re getting about 4.8% a year which isn’t terrible.

What happens to the money you get, are you putting it back into more premium bonds or otherwise investing it so you get the benefit of compound interest?

It's not really a savings account though is it. It's a safe place to deposit some money with the hope you win. I think if you need/want a guaranteed return per month look at something else. Do you have an ISA? there can be some higher rate ones. Or put the money in a bond for a year - these can be higher rate too.

That's a great result. I never win that much.

You get £200 a month prize money? That's excellent

You could invest it in S and S. Obviously the income from THAT investment varies wildly and you'd pay tax on the gains

That's pretty good tax free.

A trading 212 cash ISA is paying 4.9% at the moment.

Or invest and take a bit of risk for potentially more return.
