To wonder when life feels more peaceful?

I live at home with DH and 2 DC, work full time.
I just feel cream crackered! Kids are 7 and 4, youngest will start school next year.

Even when I'm off work or on the weekends, I'm with the kids and cos they're young they play a lot, quite noisy and hyper, toys everywhere.
So even though I'm "off" or "chilling at home" I don't feel relaxed at all cos the noise and mess just overwhelms me so much!

I often just sit a daydream about what life would be like if I lived alone in a cosy quiet tidy house!

At what point does family life actually seem a little bit more relaxing?

I wish I could afford to go part time and have a day or 2 a week to myself but that is not doable at the moment.

I could have written this. Kids same age. I'm coming apart at the seams. And marriage is suffering too. I really hope it gets better.

Not relaxing as such, but life is definitely less stressful now mine are 5 years older than yours. So in 5 years!

I'm not sure it does. Or not for many years. I only worked part time, and both ds's were very chilled, not hyper at all, and I still found it tough at times.

When kids start taking themselves off to school and looking after themselves, from about age 10/11 or so if local walkable school. It's a long tough ride till then.
