To think my NI record is wrong?

So out of chance I was checking my NI contributions and 8 years when I was in FT of a salary of about £40k but I have massive gaps of £800 every single year. How is this even possible? I was paid PAYE too, so definitely in a bit of a shock.

I had a couple of years missing in the early 2010s. I got in touch with them, provided proof I was working and my record was corrected.
Agree it shouldn't happen, but it does, and can be put right.

Give the contact number a call and check with them. Do you have any payslips from those years?

I have an old P60 but that's about it. Maybe I have some payslips I'd have to check

Yes, lady was super helpful and implied it was easy to solve. I think it's because I was under my married name but obviously I did pay tax, and NI number is the same!
