Not a big deal, really, but could use some guidance re how long a cover letter should be for a charity job? We always put a word count on our job packs but they're different for each role. Just asks for a cover letter and CV. Could email and ask them but feel like they're looking for people who know this! Haven't written a job application for a long while.

I’ve never ever seen a job that lists a word count for the cv & cover letter required!
I personally wouldn’t ask, I’ve been involved in several hires and would find it odd.

It’s a short as it takes to get your message across without waffling.

Fair enough! As I said I haven't applied for a job in a long time. I'm dyslexic so find it quite daunting

Like PP I've never seen a word count for a cover letter.

Sometimes when I've applied online and they've had set questions there has been a word limit for each question. But I've not seen it just for a cover letter you attach yourself.
