Skims see through leggings

Sorry - this is dull but I need help as they won't answer me! I have emailed 3 times!

I bought DD a few things for Xmas - including 2 pairs of leggings in the sale. These leggings are totally see through and unwearable. They were 50% discount and when I try and set up a return it says "sale items cannot be refunded". I thought all on line purchases in the UK were returnable?

Any ideas what I can do? Should I just sell on ebay?

If OP does this then it needs to be more like telling them that Distance Selling Regulations mean "final sale" no returns doesn't exist.

WhatIDoIsEnough · 30/12/2024 10:43

It states in their faqs no returns on sale items.

Online you have approximately 14 days after you receive them to return, no reason necessary, you may have to pay postage.. In a shop there are different shop policies. Essentially you may be able to return if faulty, not if you do not think they are suitable.

Suzuki76 · 30/12/2024 10:51

Any and all online sales are legally returnable.

They are faulty? That means you can return them.

Yes I saw this when I tried to process a refund. I thought the selling laws in the UK meant all sales were returnable if faulty (these are see through). Prob an error on my part.

They can put whatever they want in their faq, but unless it's legal it doesn't count. As soneone above said, you have 14 days from delivery to return any (non personalised, non-hygiene issue) item, no reason required. Email them and point this out.

Cyclistmumgrandma · 30/12/2024 11:07

If bought online then they can, by law, be returned. These are your statutory rights. They cannot override them if they are UK based. You have 14 days to inform them, then another 14 days to return them. Read Martin Lewis on this.

@Cyclistmumgrandma I’m not sure they are UK based though, their help phone number doesn’t look like a uk one

FadedGreenGrey · 30/12/2024 11:31

It says you still have 14 days under our law. This is from their web page

@ueberlin2030 *I would state they are see thru if I sold them! I wouldn't try and pass them off as perfect

Absolutely this for online sales

Did you buy them using a credit card? If you spent over £100 and they weren't fit for purpose you may be able to reclaim the money from your credit card provider.
