Buyers not collecting vinted parcels

I sold something on vinted and the buyer hasn't collected it from the pick up point so it's being returned to me. I posted it out the same day they bought it.

It's just so annoying that there are no consequences in this scenario, I can't leave feedback because the sale won't be complete and the buyer will just get their money back like nothing happened.

It doesn't matter that I've used fuel to go to the lockers and back TWICE. It also doesn't matter that I've had to package it up with my own parcel bags that I bought with my own money.

AIBU to think vinted should offer a bit more protection for sellers?

Buyers only get 3 days to collect and at this time of year that can be difficult. Are you confirming that they will be able to get to the pickup point before you post things?

It's been 10 days IME. I've had to remind buyers politely to please collect, then have to wait for them to say everything is fine so that my money is released.

I've sold approx 100 things using inpost lockers only and never had this happen. It's very rare so I would chalk it up to a rare mistake.

Also your packaging isn't wasted as you keep it packaged for next time!

This is one of the many reasons why I take a long break from Vinted over the Christmas/New Year period.

Uploaded some things yesterday and sold one for asking price. Another item has been favourited a lot but one prospective buyer asked if I accepted returns (hard no!) and another offered £10 for an item on sale for £22! I hadn't realised that Xmas/New Year was the silly season on Vinted even though I've been using it for almost 18 months.

I've been on a while although not this time of year. I have so many things I need to upload and in some ways I'm kicking myself that I cannot be arsed at the moment, as people have christmas money to spend, time to browse on it and people are clearly looking for bargains. I didn't realise it was silly season either so maybe I'm best keeping away for a couple of weeks lol.

I have seen a lot of sale stuff that people have bought from say next just to load it all for full price. Whilst people can list for whatever they want, I don't want to be a part of that. I was waiting for all that to pass by

Delivery to home isn’t as straightforward as you think. We have problems with delivery drivers chucking stuff outside or in recycling bins and driving off, you don’t know what day it’s coming and sometimes we’re out at work etc.
