They are not a British airline. They are Irish.

Still speak English though! I didn't think Ryanair was actively recruiting right now but if they are go for it. YOLO!

@Cappuccinowithonesugarplease

Not too old at all, but I wouldn't be doing it when I had a 2.5 year old toddler. You have to go all over the world (obvs) for several days at a time, and even a week sometimes. No way would I be doing this with school age children, let alone tiny toddler age. And you've got a 6 year old as well? If I did have to get a job it would be one that kept me closer to my children, not far away for days and days at a time!

Language apart, anyone going to a Ryanair interview and saying that they think they are British is going to fail that interview.

They are holding an assessment day near me, I'm going to apply anyway and see what it's all about. If It seems like a bad idea I won't do it :)

So if they were an American or Australian airline it would be okay to refer to them as British too, as they’re English speaking🤔

I have a friend who became cabin crew (started at BA) about a year before lockdown. She is 62 now, so was well over 55 when she trained and qualified.

Cappuccinowithonesugarplease · 29/12/2024 11:46

No it's ryanair

Ah, Ok,

AFAIK Ryanair don’t do many shorthaul tours or many if any nightstops and roster 5/3 (my info is slightly dated so happy to be corrected on both).

What that means is nights off during the 5 day on block could well be at base, which in turn means unless you drive home between duty periods (which might well raise management eyebrows if it’s 3 hours) you will almost certainly be paying for accommodation at base..

It might worth clarifying that at any interview/assessment day.

I am more a morning person than a night person, usually up at 6.

Being up at 6 is very different though. If you took this job then you'd have to be up at 1am and leaving no later than 2am for a 5am start?

Nearest one is an hour and a half but it's seasonal. The main ones are 3 hours away but the airline states you would be doing 5 days on 3 days off.

A 6 hour round commute sounds like madness OP

But I would only have to do this once a week. It's 5 days on. They also pay for accommodation during layovers I've done my research!
