Internal doors that won't date - 90s house?

Struggling with this...should we just not focus on whether they'll date or not? Looking at a light oak. Can't decide on shaker, cottage style or other or if to stick with white. Any ideas? Thanks!

I personally think you can’t go wrong with a shaker door.

I believe that Elvis Presley thought exactly the same, in fact I heard he was Shaker all over.

We fitted white oak shaker doors when we renovated approx 14 years ago and imo they’re pretty timeless. The exact same doors are still on sale now. The only thing we’ve done with them is sanded them back and refinished them as they do yellow over time. Weve just redone them recently and went for a more Matt finish as it was a bit more modern
