Staying with family for Christmas and oh my, am I hungry?!
I tend to eat with the kids at home and this is now my bedtime 😅
What madness are you currently experiencing over Christmas?

Oh my god I would've eaten my family by now Grin

Justmuddlingalong · 23/12/2024 21:45

Surely if you're close enough to be invited for Christmas, your close enough to ask when the grub's up?

littlemissprosseco · 23/12/2024 21:46

Sending love and strength!
Tomorrow morning pop out for bacon sandwiches

Icedlatteplease · 23/12/2024 21:46

🧀🍷🍨🍾🍹

PussInBin20 · 23/12/2024 21:47

What? Why?

DanceMumTaxi · 23/12/2024 21:47

My god, what’s the hold up? We tend to eat later, but this is madness.

littlemissprosseco · 23/12/2024 21:48

Get delivery

afrikat · 23/12/2024 21:48

I've often eaten my dinner by 5pm, I'd have eaten my arm 🙃

Ginkypig · 23/12/2024 21:49

We didn’t eat until about nine but that was because the guest who was arriving today’s train was delayed so they didn’t get in until 7pm.

on a normal day I eat about 6-7pm.

have they even said when dinner will be? Have you asked, they might be waiting until you ask thinking you are not ready yet?

Sherrystrull · 23/12/2024 21:49

Is it almost ready?!!

keepingsanity · 23/12/2024 21:49

Shops tomorrow to a stock up on snacks!

AppleDumplings · 23/12/2024 21:49

Get delivery. You get fed and they get the message!

littlemissprosseco · 23/12/2024 21:49

Can you eat the choccies from under the tree?

I would be sooo hangry by now!

chattyness · 23/12/2024 21:52

I never go anywhere without snacks in my bag just in case. Did they eat before you arrived maybe?

AlmosttimeforChristmas · 23/12/2024 21:52

No Christmas madness here I’m afraid! Just the 4 of us with no relations u til Boxing Day, so sensible mealtimes and an early night all round! (we’re so rock and roll )

That70sHouse · 23/12/2024 21:54

Some of my extended family eat very late and also have a habit of only eating once a day. If there’s a roast dinner at 2pm you might be offered some cereal at 8am if you’re lucky (can’t spoil your dinner!) and then after the roast you won’t be offered any food again for the rest of the day. I’m peckish again by 7 and have been know to sneak snacks in my guest bedroom!

littlemissprosseco · 23/12/2024 22:06

Well @Ticktockk hasn’t responded, hopefully they’re eating…..

Growlybear83 · 23/12/2024 22:08

We never eat before 9, so this wouldn't be particularly late for us.

Maria1982 · 23/12/2024 22:10

Ohmygod it’s like visiting my Spanish family! I was accused of being rude by my dad when I asked if lunch was forthcoming / I could have a snack to keep me going… at 3pm!
different cultural norms indeed

TouchoftheTism · 23/12/2024 22:11

That's outrageous. Are they snobs who refer to it as "supper"?

ElderLemon · 23/12/2024 22:11

Ticktockk · 23/12/2024 21:43

9.45…… send help and cheese

Oh that's awful, I would so hate that.

TwinkleLights24 · 23/12/2024 22:12

Is there any plans for you to even have food?

TeenLifeMum · 23/12/2024 22:13

Is the oven on at least? I think I’d be ordering dominoes.

AlertCat · 23/12/2024 22:15

Are you in Spain, if not this is not normal!
