No work now until 28th which is lovely but I feel like I don't know what to do with myself. No partner or kids so haven't got them keeping me busy. Felt so low yesterday, don't feel as bad today but apart from house work and wrapping presents, I don't know what to do today.

I totally get that...there's a lot of pressure to have fun and be sociable when often it is just a lot of time alone. When I was single and no kids I used to go for a hill walk- about an hours drive from Glasgow so some lovely hikes. Could that be an option? I would head off alone and although it was cold and miserable I got a real feeling of happiness and contentment once I'd climbed back down and was having a bowl of soup in a cafe. Always headed back to my wee flat for dinner and a wine and a good movie. Also took climbing lessons at the local centre and ended up loving that - although I wouldn't have said it was my thing originally! Hope you have a lovely time in the end. Take the pressure off yourself to have a good time too much. X

Yes, I do. I really needed a break, but the sudden stop and change of headspace is disorienting for the first couple of days. Sending empathetic hugs! 🤗

I also hate how normal service isn't available... I know this is my problem as an anxious person - everyone deserves their break! I've been really feeling for the poor shop workers lately, and of course my gratitude goes out to health care and emergency workers especially at this time of year. ❤️

But can I say - give yourself permission to just relax and be reflective and get cosy? Do all those nice things you haven't time for normally - reading, watching films - and above all, I advise a good walk in the fresh air! Helps in 99.9% of situations! 😄
