What would you think to this? Works night out.

I had my works night out last weekend and my manager got extremely drunk. She ended up knocking off a few glasses of the table and smashing them, was photo bombing strangers and was swearing and was very loud and trying to argue with strangers. What would you think to this? I’m only asking as apparently it’s bad if staff act like this but not the boss

I wouldn't think anything of it.

loropianalover · 21/12/2024 00:12

I’d think how embarrassing for her and then forget about it.

CheshireDing · 21/12/2024 00:13

I wouldn't think anything, other than at least it wasn't me 🤣🤣

GuineaPigWig · 21/12/2024 00:15

No one should behave like this and obviously it’s embarrassing. But if people like her at work, they will choose to discreetly ignore it. But if she is already a massive cunt at work, it will reaffirm people’s views of her.

Bobbie12345 · 21/12/2024 00:15

All a bit embarrassing for her. Wouldn’t think any more of it.
what is your question? Are you planning to complain or something?

ShortyShorts · 21/12/2024 00:17

I don't believe it's bad for staff but not for the boss.

I'd think 'there's a pissed person who should know their limits'

And then I'd forget all about it.

StormingNorman · 21/12/2024 00:19

It’s pretty embarrassing for everyone. Leave it between her and her manager if it needs to be spoken about.

Thevelvelletes · 21/12/2024 00:19

She'll be mortified once all the memories come flooding back.

’apparently’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Who says it’s bad it staff do it but say it’s fine if the boss does? I would imagine most people think it’s embarrassing whoever did it. Is it because the boss has the power to do people’s PMR or sack them?!

Anonymous2003 · 21/12/2024 00:23

We've all been there, it's embarrassing as hell the next day, just leave her be. Don't even understand why you felt the need to make a post about it.

Poppyseeds79 · 21/12/2024 00:41

I'd imagine it was not classed as on company time, nor paid for by the company, and optional to attend? Yes, she overdid it and made a bit of an arse of herself in the process. But it's nothing more than that really.

xTheLoudLeaderx · 21/12/2024 01:02

Are you the boss and asking for advice on your return to work ?

All sorts of shit happens on works nights out… they probably shouldn’t happen ! But this all sounds very minor and not an issue at all for anyone apart from beer fear from the manager but they’ve just been an annoying drunk - it happens. Get over it.
