John Lewis Christmas Rewards?

Anybody used any of them?

today’s on mine is asking me to donate to a charity, great, I do this already privately elsewhere but- is that a reward ?

Also worth noting a lot of those are tax write offs for the company in question.

Just seems like none of the rewards they’ve given are really usable at all, nor are they rewards in the sense of the word

anybody got any different ones?

Also just checked the T and c’s of the donation ‘reward’ it’s a charity set up by JLP themselves (so definitely a tax write offs) and only says 65% of donation goes to the charities

am I missing something here?

most of them are crap. The odd ones that might have been useful expire within a day or two anyway, so unless you live or work literally in a city centre and pass a JL daily it would cost more to go into get them than any saving you'd be making.

I did get the free £5 spend voucher for entering the competitions over the course of the year though but although it looks good, because JL sells so few things below that price bracket even that is a marketing attempt to entice you in and end up spending money you otherwise wouldn't have - I'm petty AF deliberately scoured the shelves for something not costing a penny more so they didn't "win" 😁
