Celebrating leaving this waste of space!

I've posted before under another username about my exes behaviour but to sum up:

  • repeatedly gaslight me, manipulated me and criticised me for years
  • punched holes in walls several times
  • would often go 4/5 days without showering with the worst being about 10 days during lockdown and no effort to change
  • played video games constantly and come to bed until 3/4am sometimes
  • smoked weed all day everyday
  • financially manipulative
  • did not to contribute to any daily chores, would leave washing, rubbish etc for me to pick up

Well I've finally left him and moved into my own place a few weeks ago and the feeling of freedom is immense! Not sure why I am posting really but just wanted to celebrate as it has taken me years to finally be able to leave. He seems to think I'm leaving for no reason (lol) and he's trying to make my life difficult in other ways during the break up but at the point where I couldn't give a F*CK!

Well done, if you don't have DC together it's a lot easier to ignore him.

Brilliant news and a great way to go into 2025 without this dead weight with you. I would keep a copy of that opening post to remind yourself why you left because you know you deserve better than what he could offer you. Enjoy your new place.
