To ask her to take her windchimes down?

My neighbour has windchimes just below my spare bedroom so whenever someone stays with me they are kept awake by them jangling all night. They're really quite noisy. Would it be okay to ask her to take them down? Or maybe just take them down when someone is staying?

Just for context, we are friendly but I don't know her that well, I've lived here less than a year.

You can ask. She can also say no

ButterCrackers · 17/12/2024 22:42

She might not have realised how much noise they make. Ask her if she could take them down when you have guests to stay.

Ask her (nicely) if she could remove them as they're noisy at night. How inconsiderate to put them under someone's window!

I'd cut them down and dance on them under a full moon. First things I'd nominate for room 101.

My neighbour asked me to take mine down as it was keeping her awake. I took it down. Just ask her

I asked my neighbour to take some wind chimes down and he happily did. They used to keep me awake though I quite like the sound they make!

Okay thanks, I'll ask and see how it goes down. I hate things like this.
