right will try and summarise.. My twins suffer from terrible mystery spots, i have posted about them quite frequently on here in a quest to find some answers as to what they may be. Anyway someone raised a possible cause as something called hydradenitis supperativa, so i did some research and joined a forum. I had to be approved to join and once i'd done so i posted the history etc and some pics (the same as on my profile).
Well anyway someone demanded the photos be taken down as they are porn graphic (deliberately mispelt) , now I'm sure any rational person will see there is nothing offesnive about these pics but the mods duly obliged and took them down. I feel shocked and really quite saddened by this hysteric response, AIBU?

In what way were they deemed offensive? Have you had any contact with the mods?

hunkermunker · 30/04/2008 22:29

How fucked up of them

Sorry you can't get answers re their skin. Have they been referred to a dermatologist?

southeastastra · 30/04/2008 22:29

not at all, see if the board moderators help you with the 'offended' person at all

Carmenere · 30/04/2008 22:30

Oh ffs Quad those pics are totally innocuous, you would have to have a sewer for a mind to find them porn graphic on your behalf.

Quadrophenia · 30/04/2008 22:31

you could see some knickers I think in one of the pics.
Hunker they have just had an appt with a derm but the spots are not present atm, so have to wait til they flare up again so a swab can be taken

Didn't want to ignore your post though know nothing about this. They don't look pornographic to me! They look like someone trying to collect evidence of a health condition of their DCs. So ignore them. Hope your DCs are ok.

a lot of people could see where offended person was coming from

also one person said it was too much for those who had been abused as children

Quadrophenia · 30/04/2008 22:34

OP posts:
spicemonster · 30/04/2008 22:35

Oh FGS! They are not remotely offensive. I'm sorry quadrophenia - that your children are suffering and then you get vilified for trying to help them out

PinkTulips · 30/04/2008 22:35

god, some people have horrible minds pics are fine quad

they look a bit like what i get when i get bitten by an insect i'm allergic to. i get a huge lump with a little scab in the centre.

southeastastra · 30/04/2008 22:35

they shouldn't be on the www if they feel that offended quad.

don't take it personally, but i would complain to the board.

hope you find out what they are

PeaMcLean · 30/04/2008 22:35

How very very sad that anyone should be offended by them.

yurt1 · 30/04/2008 22:36

Was it a USA based forum?

Quadrophenia · 30/04/2008 22:36

SNoraWotzThat · 30/04/2008 22:39

how sad that when you are seeking help you get that response.

they look like a bad reaction to horse fly bites
have you googled that?

theUrbanNixie · 30/04/2008 22:39

hmm - i can see where someone might be offended. but i don't think there's anything wrong with those pics at all.

some people will be offended at the sight of a child's care skin though

nametaken · 30/04/2008 22:39

sheesh, that sounds like some wierd forum you joined, I'd backtrack as fast as I could back to the loving arms of Mumsnet.

YANBU
