Go out tonight or stay in?

I'm meeting a few friends tonight to see a band.
But ...
I'm tired after a busy week and feeling very cosy at home.

AIBU to miss the night out and stay home with DH?

I am probably the worst person to answer this, but I'd want to stay in!

BetteDavisChin · 14/12/2024 15:33

Well I must be the wrong type of person too because that's just how I feel 😆

I would go. You will enjoy it once you're out and your friends will be looking forward to seeing you. I find when I'm reluctant to do something, I'm nearly always glad I did.

I always want to stay in, but find going out really does nourish me in a different way. I'd go sober though. That way you don't waste Sunday.

HollyGolightly4 · 14/12/2024 15:36

@Lobstercrisps and @GroovyChick87 do make good points 😆

Pippa12 · 14/12/2024 15:37

Would it impact anybody else if you didn’t go?

I’ve got in an awful habit of not going out in favour of cosying up on the sofa but I’ve given myself talking to! I’ll be upset in summer when nobody asks me to do anything 😂 I always have a great time when I do get out.

Its hard but maybe just do it!

BetteDavisChin · 14/12/2024 15:59

They are good friends and I see them regularly throughout the week.

I know I'll have a great time if I go.

They might like me just a little less if I don't go 🫣

I went out last night. It's a funny story how I ended up going.

We had a brilliant time, dancing and singing with friends.

We left at 11.30, sweaty and slightly intoxicated.

I'm so glad I went 🥳

Yay, I'm really glad to hear it!

Onlyvisiting · 15/12/2024 09:06

Glad yoy went!
My thoughts were that i wouldnt have wanted to go as I'm an antisocial dick, but I wouldn't have agreed in the first place. Once you've made plans you should stick to them if at all possible, it's really shitty to be cancelled on
