Diet and genital arousal

Watching netflix and came across 'you are what you eat.. a twin experiment '.
Thought it'd do me more good than a Christmas film.
Episode 1: introducing the experiment and twins.
Episode 2: they're going to measure the effect of diet on arousal. They'll be making the twin women watch porn putting them in stirrups by the looks of it with a gadget/camera ready to measure genital temperature. I've stopped it after the researcher says something rather gleeful about 'no ones ever done anything like this before '.

I don't mind watching a bit of science about dort but why are they measuring this and why is he so gleeful?

Has anyone else watched beyond the start of episode 2…?

I thought this sort of shit stopped with Mengele.

Filth? Mengele? Jesus Christ, what's with the hyperbole? It's an experiment. The subjects consented. Skip through that section if you aren't interested, but I found the whole programme interesting.

The world just feels weird and creepy right now. I’m waiting for sanity to return

Did they do the same with the men or was it just women only for this bit of the experiment?

This sounds like some TV producer sat there when being briefed about a perfectly normal diet experiment and said, “Ok, but how do we make it sexy?”, resulting in this bright idea.
