As a first time mum I bought the Egg
pram travel system which I absolutely hate. I could make a separate post on what I hate about it lol.
I’m so done with it I’m ready to pay for my mistake and get a pushchair, I’m looking for any recommendation that aren’t heavy, fully reclines & parent facing.

Take yourself offto a pram/buggy shop with plenty of time and have a good go with what they have, I think a travel system is personal to you. Do you walk a lot, use public transport, drive ect. You need the right system for you. You know what you don't like so that's a good starting point

Joie Chrome. It's an amazing pram and can be parent or outward facing.

My niece bought the Egg2- good god I thought I was awful! Worst pram I’ve pushed!

What counts as not heavy OP? I love my Cybex Priam no idea if others find it heavy.

LivingLaVidaBabyShower · 12/12/2024 05:44

Leclerc /yoyo / bugaboo butterfly are all lightweight

Yoyo has exceptional resale value if you are one and done.

Leclerc and butterfly fully recline

None of these rear face. You also prob wont care about rear face from 8m or so

Everyone i know who got their parents to drop £1-1.5k on an egg hated it too. You are not alone.

I loved my baby jogger GT, not parent facing, but mine wanted to watch the world from about 6 months anyway 😂

Out of curiosity (as someone who is pushchair shopping and feels like shops love the Egg) why do you hate it? The Cybex Mios is smaller and lightweight, but still has both parent and world facing options.

Pippa12 · 12/12/2024 14:56

@toastofthetown its so bloody heavy, difficult to steer and the handle bar is so thick I found it hard to push. It was bloody terrible, needless to say she’s sold it.

we had a bugaboo and although it’s not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye imo it’s a king in comparison!

You’re right shops love it but as a first time mom I didn’t pay any attention to important things. I’m not surprised that FB marketplace is full of them, probably a lot of people realise how horrible it is after short period of time

The main reasons why I hate it: it’s heavy, the main frame folds ok but getting it in and out of car is annoying.
Chinky handle is very uncomfortable, sometimes I struggle to control the pram when walking downhill.
Manoeuvring is terrible, no suspension and there is no chance you can take this pram on rougher paths. It only feels smooth on shop floor hence I fell for it.
Also they have fancy fabrics but they’re not waterproof.

I struggle to think who would suit this pram. Perhaps moms who spend there time in shopping centres only but if you plan to be out and about DO NOT buy this pram. I sometimes wish I could go back in time and get Bugaboo or Cybex.
