Christmas Travel

AIBU about this? I should say that I’m not in the UK, if that has any bearing.

I’m pregnant and due at the end of this month. I was looking toward to a relaxing Christmas but DH has just told me that we have to travel to his home town just before Christmas - something to do with admin or taxes. We arrive on Christmas Eve and will need to spend Christmas there.

I might not be so bothered if he’d sorted out accommodation but he’s refusing to book a hotel because it’ll cost a fortune near Christmas, and says we can pick up a late cancellation cheaply when we’re there. I can’t believe he’s even contemplating that with me due to give birth any time.

AIBU to say I’m just going to stay here?

I'm sure you'll find an old stable to sleep in.

Wait until he asks for a DNA test and who's name do you put on the birth certificate.

How are you planning to travel OP? Have you booked a donkey already? You might find they are all booked up already.

If you think the trip to his home town is a pain, wait until you hear about the New Year trip to Egypt!
