Have you ever bought something because of a FB ad?

I see adverts on Facebook often for stuff I think I might like but assume it’s probably naff because it’s not a brand I’ve heard of and it’s being advertised on Facebook. Recent ones I’ve seen are Foldie bags, Peeps glasses cleaners and Lumilight headbands. So, has anyone ever bought based on one of this ads and was it decent or rubbish?

I would actively avoid something on a fb add. They don’t check their companies who advertise.

XenoBitch · 07/12/2024 22:05

Yes!
Adjustable tables. They were not as flexible as the add made them out to be.
I do think a lot of the ads are scams.
I saw one that was about ND friendly DBT skills booklets. Cost £15, and it was for 2 booklets, and 37 other e-books. Only one book turned up in my inbox, and it was just ripped off from the genuine seller from Etsy, who was charging less than £4 anyway.

Don't trust them.

I bought a huge box of 'Who gives a crap' environmentally friendly loo roll. It was rubbish, but the box gave the delivery driver a good laugh.

Loop earplugs. Love them.

What?! I think they're great! They last for ages. Which one did you get? The bamboo one is a bit nicer than the other one.

I almost bought stuff for a boo box then thought NO, I don’t want or need this.

FB is very clever at targeting you even down to showing you stuff you’re interested in at the exact time you’re most likely to purchase it

A few things and luckily haven’t had anything naff yet. I’ve also bought from TikTok shop as well. One of my best ever purchases was a small suitcase which had been designed to fit under your chair, all you need to do is pop off the wheels and put them in your pocket/in the suitcase. It easily carried enough for my 4 night break. It meant that I didn’t have to pay for a cabin bag which was ideal. It was £26 including postage!

Same!

Two buys, both total waste of time and money. One was a "cotton rich" top for £11 that looked great on the model but turned out to be shapeless and made from what felt like swimming costume material.
Then I bought some snow boots for about £30 and wore them in the snow last week - got wet feet within five minutes. Can't remember the brands.

Hi, has anyone bought any easy flow sticks? And are they any good?

Nu2this · 02/04/2025 20:38

Easy flow sticks....yes or no? 🤔☺️
