Lego sets are always popular. At that age DS loved his marble run as well.

Have just been looking for my own nine-year-old today! One thing I thought was cool was the Crayola Ultimate Light Board.

Oh and he loves his Klikbots and Stikbots, which he uses a lot just to play but they can be used to make stop-motion animations.

Guiness Book of World Records is always well received by my son.

Magic set. Joke book for kids and a lindt teddy.
Or nerf guns are popular at that age.
