I'm going through a particularly nasty divorce and in trying to turn off that automatic finishing your sentences feature I have somehow removed the ability to copy and paste. Will a kind person please talk me through how to put it back?

I think it might help if you could tell us what sort of device you are using and what programme?

Does control C and Control V still work?

We need a bit more information; are you using a phone, laptop or computer?
Is it running Apple/Mac, Android, or Windows?
What software are you trying to use, a PDF viewer or a word processor?

You can't usually edit a PDF, so copy and paste wont work.

I'm sorry. I'm so stressed I forgot the thread.

I'm in a Microsoft Word document.

I gave the wrong information. What I can't do is highlight a block of text and then delete it or cut and paste it. I can select it and copy it.

Sounds like a software glitch. Save, restart Word.

Maybe even restart computer.

It's something I took off. I was stupid. Trying to take off automatic corrections and things of that nature.

Check your editing options: In the Editing options section of File > Options > Advanced, make sure the box for Typing replaces selected text is checked
