To be worried about this DC?

I babysit for my friends DC and I’m starting to get worried. I don’t have Dc myself but I’ve been looking after her for a few years. She is nearly 3. Her personality seems to have changed. Some days are ok but she will have some days where she will be extremely clingy and emotional. Yesterday was a bad day. She didn’t want to put down. This is very unlike her. She is normally very chatty but all she says now is ‘my daddy’ ’my daddy’. Her mum has gone away for a few days on a training course so it’s only her daddy at home. Now, in the last couple of days, since mum has been away, when I do her nappy she is absolutely hysterical crying. There is no soreness or nappy rash that I can see but as soon as I say it’s nappy time and go to do it she’s shaking and hysterically crying. Which is very worrying to me. Her behaviour has also changed. I’m not sure how to approach this with her parents. I babysit on my days off (2 days a week).

Btw, she cries before I even do her nappy. If I mention nappy time and go to prepare to start, she is hysterical. Only in the last couple of days. She is normally fine with this

I’m not sure what you’re suggesting but if you’re really worried you should ring NSPCC right away

Child's mum goes away for a few days, child becomes clingy, you now suspect her father is abusing her?

If you really think that then report it.

Is she saying she wants to see her dad or that she doesn't? What's she like when he comes home? (I'm assuming you're minding her while he's at work.)

Are the parents living together?
