Is it ok to give this gift?

Does anyone know, is it ok to hand in a thank you gift to a&e? Basically I’ve been unwell recently and treated in rhesus several times and they’ve been incredible- I know it’s their job but I’ve really felt like all the doctors and nurses have gone above and beyond to help me. I was going to hand in a thank you card next week with a bag of nice chocolates, crisps and coffee etc, just to say thank you so much. But now I’ve got myself a bit confused about whether that’s allowed or not because it’s a hospital and especially an emergency department, are gifts and food items ok? Nothing home baked - I’m just talking like a box of chocolates, some fancy crisps, some nice coffee.. that sort of thing, but I don’t want to seem like an idiot or cause any embarrassment if actually it’s not allowed haha

Probably just over thinking it lol!

doee anyone know if it’s allowed? Thank you 😀

Yes it is allowed and would be appreciated, particularly if you write a card

yes it is allowed but please if you give chocolate- wrapped chocolates. I am sure they would like the card.
Nice to hear a positive A+E experience

@Thankyoumuchly sounds lovely
I'm sure the would be delighted .
I took tea coffee biscuits etc to out vets when they went above and beyond for my very ill dog ( obviously not the same situation as the op)

I had to go to hospital once, on the day I was flying on a long haul holiday (flight was in the evening). The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to get me sorted and off in time. I needed to see them again when I got back so I took them a box of biscuits and a card.

I think it's nice to show your appreciation in these types of scenarios.

I think that’s a really nice idea.
