Hi all hoping for some advice and honest opinions.
I left a successful career 4 years ago to look after my autistic child. I can't go back to it because it requires a lot of commitment that I just can't give anymore such as last minute flights to china to write a report or get on a 8pm call to the US.
I'm really looking at what I can do around school hours part time type of roles because most of my time is spent fighting for services and I really just need to do something.
I was looking at teaching in colleges literacy numeracy tutor type of roles and was wondering if others have taken this type of career change. Any advice would be welcome.

You might be able to take a short course for teaching adults numeracy or literacy, if you have a degree called AET(formerly PTTLLS) offered by a local college. However you may find that employment is on a short term contract basis.

Thank you. I don't mind contract work at all.
