How do you feel about works 'christmas do's?

I always approach these with trepidation as some folk can to get overdrunk and show themselves up or say things they wish they hadnt

I think I actually hate them and im dreading ours but cannot get out of it now - if you back out at a late stage they make you pay for your place

I work with a lovely team. We are going for afternoon tea where most of us are driving, so there won't be many drinkers.

We will also be going out for lunch, but as we all drive to work, again there will be no drinking.

Ours is very low key. We pay for ourselves and just go for a meal in a pub. I don't really like it as I find these things hard work but I do think it's important to go and try and socialise so I do.
