To reheat this? (Food hygiene)

DH came back with a Greggs yesterday, veggie festive bake.

I didn’t end up eating it. It was put straight in the fridge. Would it be safe to reheat in the oven today?

I think they must come in frozen to Greggs, then get heated in the oven, then sit out for however long on the counter… so back in our fridge, and considering reheating in our oven 24h later

I’m usually really food hygiene conscious and I’m also postpartum so could do without tummy upset, but don’t want to waste food!

YABU - don’t reheat, wouldn’t think it safe
YANBU - reheat it will be absolutely fine

I'm really funny with food but I'd reheat and eat.

I did this a couple of days ago as I got one in my to good to go bag. Picked it up in the evening took it to work the next day and bunged it in the microwave tasted fine no after effects

murasaki · 19/11/2024 12:33

It's veggie, I'd reheat and enjoy.

We often reheat Greggs bakes, another to good to go fan, either in the microwave for speed or air fryer as it stops them going soggy.

I’d do it for myself but not my n my cafe.
ps, I tried one of these the other day and it was disappointing. Not a patch on the vg sausage rolls!

It will taste shit but not make you ill

Do this all of the time with cheese and onion pasties - air fryer makes them nice and crispy, microwave they go soft 👍🏼

The questions people ask ffs its a vegan piece of preserved stodge.

StressedQueen · 19/11/2024 18:15

It's fine and I'm normally really weird about food and expiry dates, refrigerated food etc.
