First period after endometriosis laparoscopy?

I know this is probably the wrong board, but I got no replies from the health boards so thought I would try my luck here - sorry! 🤗

I had endometriosis excision surgery 2 weeks ago today. I’m due my period anytime from now onwards but I’ve never experienced this before - will my period still arrive on time or can it delay it? Does it affect the first period pain and heaviness wise?

Thank you in advance! ☺️

From my experience and from reading endometriosis threads it’s quite common for the period to be delayed as a result of the excision. It can also be quite painful as everything is still healing inside. I was warned it would be very heavy but mine wasn’t too bad (certainly nowhere near as bad as my periods had got before the excision).
All back to normal by the second cycle.

Mine was roughly on time (I have irregular cycles), not painful (a first!) but extremely heavy. The worst flooding I’ve ever experienced. I couldn’t have gone out and about as was flooding heavily through to my clothes.
