Dear Mums,
i would be grateful to have your thoughts on choosing a school for my son.
my son turns 3 years old this January and i have started looking for a school place. He goes twice a week to a forest nursery and the other 3 days to a nursery in Muswell Hill. Looking to change his nursery once he turns 3 as im not happy with the nursery in Muswell Hill. He will continue going to forest nursery twice a week. My son is bright but also very active, social and sporty. I need to find a school that is academically good but also focus on sports and well being of kids.
I am looking at both options, state and private schools in Highgate and Muswell Hill. We live in Highgate.
One of the top options is the Highgate school. I know it’s a selective school and was wondering if anyone knows which primary/preparatory school would be best to send my child so that he has a chance of getting into the Highgate school? I read in this website that apparently children that come from other schools than Highgate school do better on the 11+ exam.
Im also looking at the Avenue and Norfolk house. Are these schools good? Has any children from these schools managed to go to Highgate schools? How are they compare to St Michaels school (nearest to our house), Tetherdown, Muswell Hill primary school or Our lady of Muswell Hill.
Any input is appreciated.
