To feel this friendship is one sided?

I've been friends with him for around ten years. We've been close friends but lately everything is about him. I told him some news about my health recently and he replied with how he has been feeling rough. Typical of him these days. Meeting up seems to always be on his terms too these days. I've tried talking to him but always excuses. He has a lot going on, as do I but I've grown tired. Aibu to pull the plug on this friendship?

Are you a woman? My own experience of male/female friendships is that the man was always trying to have sex with me or waiting to see if it would happen. My friend said the same thing. I had another male friend who kept blocking and unblocking me - there seemed to be some sort of sexual jealousy going on.

Take a break for a few months

So if he recently got a gf or you recently got together with someone. It could explain why now he's not bothering with the friendship.

He does have a girlfriend. They don't always get on but when they do I barely hear from him.

Ah, there's your answer then.

You already know the answer OP.

There is your answer, you are a sounding board and convenient when things aren't going well with the girlfriend
