Everyone I know seems to be knackered!

The kids have got purple bags under their eyes. DS mentioned being excited for bed and it was only 5.15! I'm usually a morning person but the last few days I have been the last one out of bed. DH is usually a night owl but he's been turning in early to get more sleep. Then every adult I've spoken to on the school run is saying they're under the weather or feeling lethargic. Seems to be a general feeling of bleugh.

I know the clocks have changed, but am not used to this level of lethargy this early in the season!

Just me?

I am exhausted too OP.

Even my bones feel tired this year!

MerylSqueak · 14/11/2024 18:32

Absolutely. I'm blaming the grey, overcast summer.

Oo I wonder, maybe a general lack of vitamin D top up is having national wide after effects.

I was saying the same to my work colleagues today. Is it just the time of year?

I do have a 4.5yo DD at nursery who likes to share her bugs but it’s not like I’m not well, I’m just tired and lethargic all the bloomin time and no matter how much sleep I get I feel like I still need another weeks worth!!

Didshejustsaythatoutloud · 14/11/2024 18:35

Vitamin d and magnesium are useful

7ft1garysson · 14/11/2024 18:36

Vitamin d and magnesium are useful

I take both religiously once September hits. B complex and zinc helpful as well.

Yup. Pregnant, low in mood, low in sunlight and just generally run ragged and fucked off.
Im struggling to function and feel like I’m about to come down with something any second.
Ive noticed the kids are slower in the mornings at the moment so I think it’s the time of year and daylight.

hidinginthegarden · 14/11/2024 19:16

Yep! I'm also blaming the poor summer and toping up Vit d. But also the shit show of an economy, all services being stretched and having to do more for yourself than ever before (talking self service everything) means there's more to do too! There's so much mental load! Worn out and exhausted too and wondering if I'm burnout!!

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 14/11/2024 19:25

I am the same, I usually love mornings, I run for 40 minutes then walk to and from work, 30 minutes each way and the often do a strength workout, but I can’t get out of bed these days and I’m writing this at 19:22 thinking bed would be good. What is going on, I’m also craving sugar

coxesorangepippin · 14/11/2024 19:32

It's the time of year

Not here. I’m up at five to get to the gym. But I am very much a morning person.

YearningForAWinteryWinter · 14/11/2024 19:37

I am too but I'm also so busy helping out an elderly relative daily along with all my normal work/family/home stuff so I put it down to that.

I could also go to bed right now
