False positive - easy at home

Hey guys, just wanted to warn you of a false positive I received on a recent batch of easy at home tests. It's a pretty obvious line but after doing further tests, that came back negative, this is clearly a really bad false positive. Very cruel!!

That’s terrible, I didn’t think a false positive was possible (especially not of that strength). I hope you’re ok, horrible thing to happen ♥️

Did you test with the same brand again?

Sorry I commented that it looked like you had done an ovulation test as it was on the blue ovulation packet background but then realised you had done the pink pregnancy test.
sorry that you had this as the feelings around testing are always difficult especially when all you want is to have that positive result and to have a baby x

The test in front very clearly states 'HCG'.

Ahh yeah thats ok, i sometimes doubt myself too haha. Just a cruel false positive, heres to hoping my period doesnt show up and it was true all along haha! we can hope x

Can I just double check, what makes you think this is a false positive?

Did you have another test near it/on top of it at any point? I just notice the ovulation test wrapper in background. Dye can run from one test to the other and 'settle' in the line space.

Yeah i took the ovulation test at the same time, kinda thinking this is what has happened now! how annoying... Thank you x

I took a few other tests after and nothing. Think the below comment is what has happened, the dye has ran from the ovulation test!! Annoyingly....

aaah I see, yes that’s possible. Incredibly cruel for you. I did 10 years of infertility and 13 agonising chemical pregnancies, plus 2 miscarriages before I carried my son to term and I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant with my second. I’m sending you all the luck and love in the world

Omg youve been through it havent you! We are on our 3rd round of IVF, multiple transfers which have mainly ended in chemicals and we have one MMC naturally! Its a cruel cruel time for anyone but so glad you got there in the end and massive congratulations, wishing you all the best xx

I have also had multiple faint lines on easy at home tests from 11dpo right through to the next CD 8 a week after getting my period. At first i thought this was a chemical pregnancy but I also tried clear blue and another brand and they were negative 😔 very heartbreaking to think your pregnant then you realise your not.
