To not reply straight away on OLD

I've been active on tinder again lately. I've noticed more this time that some men get aggy when I don't reply straight away. I had one ask why I didn't have notifications turned on because I hadn't replied within 2 hours.

Had one the other day who unmatched when I didn't reply straight away. Then today same again- was chatting with a guy back and forth and he was telling me a bit about his life. At 11pm I went to bed. I don't have time to reply during the working day so I checked tonight at 6pm and - unmatched again.

AIBU to think this is ridiculous? I will send a few messages every evening to matches (depends on how quickly they reply ofc) but unmatching when I don't reply immediately seems mad

Not BU imo. I suppose though it's all about compatibility, so if that's their expectation and it doesn't match your vibe then it's better for them to exit at this stage rather than later down the line.

I wouldn't want to be glued to my phone, and wouldn't want to date someone who expects that of me.

Some even put on their bio 'if you don't reply within the hour I'll unmatch and block' 😂 Like...dude chill! I've got a job and a life too!!

A very easy way to sieve out some of the red flags.
