Aspirin at 12 weeks

Hey hey 👋🏽. So I'm 12 weeks today and I was told by my midwife to start taking aspirin. The problem is I saw her when I was 6 weeks and for the life of me I can't remember how to take them!!!!

The box says take 2 a day. Is that 1 in the morning and 1 at night or both together??😵‍💫 And I didn't think to ask the pharmacist either. I was so tired after work today and boots was manic so I just wanted to get out lol.

I will call my midwife tomorrow to clarify but I was just wondering if there are any other expecting momma's who are also taking aspirin who could guide me for now 😅

Yes one in the morning one in the night that’s what I had to do in my last pregnancy

Lostworlds · 10/11/2024 18:55

I was told to take them both at night by my consultant so did that for both pregnancies .

Both together. They usually advise it at night to make sure it's not taken on an empty stomach but when I asked my midwife if it would make a difference whether I took it in the morning she said it was fine.

Both together. Set a reminder on your phone.

I took 150mg at night.

do check the package, aspirin can come in 75mg,150mg or 300mg. You need to take 75mg or 150mg not 300mg.

Thank you all. You've been very helpful 😊 🫶🏽

I already have a reminder as I am taking blood pressure medication (twice a day). So will take them when I take my other meds 😊
