To ask what a haemorrhoid feels like?

I think that is what it is but slightly worried it could be some sort of spot/abcess. I’m aware of it and it not very painful more uncomfortable . It’s on the margin of my bum hole it feels huge but it’s probably a bit bigger than a pea but smaller than a grape. Difficult to see it! Sending myself into a bit of spiral worrying. Don’t want to waste gp time unnecessarily or have to show my bum unless really have to.

Sounds like a pile. Mine is like a pea on my anus. It gets very itchy sometimes, usually after a loose poo or if I poo twice in a day.

Get the cream and if it works you know that's what it was, and if it doesn't then go to GP.

They can start painless, but believe me, after a while they sting and really hurt. Try over the counter Anusol first which is what your GP will say, they may burst when going to the toilet so there will be blood, unless you can treat it first, the cream helps by making it smaller and can disappear completely.

I have something that is like a skin tag, it keeps thrombosing. It itches like crazy but never bleeds. It also does hurt a lot

only get the anusol plus HC 4 in one cream from chemist the others are not worth the £ as they don’t have the steroid in, if it’s very bad I have to get the prescribed scheriproct one and that sorts it out. Don’t wipe.. pat the area!

anusol HC 4 action is very thick so it is good to stay on the area. Recommend!

people call them grapes but they are usually pea sized

Mine has never bled. Usually I manage the itch with the cream, but occasionally I need to use a suppository.
They seem to get worse in the heat.

Thanks all using anusol hc at present only been since yesterday. I’m not sure but think it might be bigger today. Will give it a few more days
