Thank you Mumsnet for the piping rock recommendation. Over the years I have learnt loads of useful things from Mumsnet. By far the best one has been a melatonin recommendation for my 8 year old with adhd and SPD. This week bedtime has been a total dream. He is asleep approx 30-1hr after taking a gummy.

Does anyone else have things they thank Mumsnet for??

The penis beaker. Now DH dips and is lovely and clean for the night.

I'd like to thank Mumsnet for the general advice and support over the years.

To those who calmed me during my pregnancy anxiety with my oldest son
To those who advised me on first time labour and what contractions felt like
To those who advised me on financial decisions
To those who explained the practical information of elderly parents and arranging care/funerals
To those who explained the mortgage process to me like I was a child learning how to add 1+1
To those who supported me during my son's autism diagnosis and who helped when I blamed myself
To those who I laughed with over the years about silly stuff
To those who've provided excellent diagrams of their street when a CF has blocked them in
To those who've shared pictures of their cats

Thank you.

The internet may be a Toxic place, and Mumsnet has its fair share of hate, bullying and people just being mean, but it's also a place of hope, friendship and support for so many.

Seriously?! 🤯

(That insane thread was the reason I joined MN)

It's frowned upon really, but there is a wonderful and supportive thread on here for people who are trying not to contact a guy for various reasons.

It's been a very painful episode of my life and I'm so grateful for being able to scream into the void of that thread, and not being judged for anything I say.

Jesus, no!

For listening when I was at breaking point with a newborn who screamed 16 hours out of 24. For encouraging me to take that symptom and her eczema seriously and to challenge medics who told me she didn't have allergies. She's 7 now and carries epi pens for 2 food allergies and we've recently been told she's unlikely to outgrow either.

If any new mums are reading this: trust your instincts. You KNOW when something is wrong. You KNOW when it's more than just the fact that motherhood is tough (which it also is)
