Parking in front of my gate

My neighbor recently bought a new car and now leaves their old one parked in front of my gate. The houses don't have drives. I know it's legal to park on the street, and I don’t mind if it’s in front of my house as we don't have car at the moment, but I don’t understand why they choose to park it right in front of the gate when there’s so much space on the side or down the road. There’s about 60cm of pavement between the car and my gate, so it doesn’t block my access, but it does feel inconsiderate. My husband thinks I’m being unreasonable, but we have to be careful when maneuvering things in and out eg bikes . They often work away and take their new car, leaving the old one there for long periods no car outside their house. Am I being unreasonable?

Just tell them you are having trouble getting gbikes out and don't want to scratch the car. They probably haven't realised its an issue.

If they are parked legally they are parked legally.

You could ask them but they may not help unless there is plenty of alternative space available.

You don’t own the road. Only time you have rights is if you have a right of way due to a drive which you don’t. If you scratch his car so be it

Just ask them politely to move. They probably just didn't realise they are making things difficult. Hopefully they won't mind.
