Deli samples - for humans and dogs. No! No!

So our local posh deli usually has samples out to try, cheese, hams, that sort of stuff and it now also has dog treats out too. How grossly unhygienic!!! Some folk have almost tasted the wrong treats (yes there is a sign) but why are dogs even allowed in a food shop. The deli workers often pet the dogs then just sanitise their hands rather than a full soap n water wash.

Repulsive. At least you know to avoid them. If you're feeling brave, I'd tell them why.

I don't eat anywhere where dogs are welcome.

Report unhygienic practices to the local council. Food Standards Agency works with councils to give hygiene ratings to food businesses.

That’s disgusting! I’m so tired of so many cafes locally being “ dog friendly “.

lasagnelle · 08/11/2024 06:10

That is gross

You are annoyed because people can’t read?

Dogs shouldn't be in the shop. If they have a location to tie up the dog outside and want to give out clearly labelled dog treats, I don't have a problem with that.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/11/2024 08:19

Objecting to dogs in food shops is understandable but I don't get what's particularly objectionable about dog treats? Confused
(Simple solution...put out more cheese and ham.Grin)

Dogs are taking over from humans if my local high street is anything to go by.
