To think my luck is terrible

I know these are first world problems and things can always be far worse, but sometimes I just want to shout 'SERIOUSLY?' at the universe because my luck is awful, constantly.

A few recent examples...

I was admitted to hospital a couple of weeks ago for an infected wisdom tooth which had locked my jaw and had a burst abscess. I ended up having emergency surgery and ended up with nerve damage and may never feel my bottom lip againHmm Okay, it's better than the lock jaw so I'll look on the bright side. I had driven myself to hospital and when I was discharged after 5 days I came back to find someone had crashed into my car in the car park and didn't leave a note, hospital cctv not working. Wonderful. This is the 3rd time I've been crashed into since April.

After getting my car cleaned today, my daughter got car sick and projectile vomited on the way home from said car clean. She also spewed all over my phone, so I had to take my case off to disinfect it. At that precise moment she decided to drop it and I now have a shattered screen - because it was dropped in the 2 minute space it has ever been without its case.

My eldest daughter just knocked the toothbrush pot with her elbow and the only toothbrush out of all 4 to land in the toilet was... drum roll... mine Smile

Yesterday I opened the cupboard to get some spaghetti out of it, wobbled the Worcester sauce which landed on my hob and smashed the corner.

It's things like this, CONSTANTLY. It all just feels like the universe has beef with me and I don't know why!!!! Does anybody else have luck like this?

🤣🤣🤣 I'm not laughing at you but your not wrong. You've really pissed someone off up their. Have you ever seen the film just my luck with lindsay lohan. It won't help but will give you a laugh.

Everybody does, it's how you perceive it that makes the difference. Sometimes what looks like bad luck is a blessing in disguise, sometimes good luck is not good at all. Sometimes it's a funny anecdote or even a best selling book.

When you view everything as yet another example of bad luck you close yourself off to spotting opportunities/good luck. We all get hat appears to be bad luck at the time but don't close yourself off to the good stuff that comes along as well.

The universe isn't singling you out, why would it, are you really that important to the universe that is would want to?

You have control and agency in your life, sometimes you need to change your perspective and spot things going on that make you happy. It's the little things that make the difference.

Op, I did find myself laughing

I'm so sorry, you do have some shit luck right now but I'm sure it won't last forever 🥺 x

Honestly if I don't laugh I'll cry so feel free to laugh😂 It is honestly non stop to the point where if something happens I'm not even shocked anymore, I literally just say 'yep, of course'. I definitely feel like Lindsay Lohan but she had good luck to begin with, mine never existed Envy
