Started a choir and there’s someone there who clearly doesn’t like me

I’ve wanted to start a choir for ages and a woman there just stares at me and if I smile at her she gives me a dirty look! I don’t understand as I’ve never even spoken to her!

That must be off-putting but it would be silly to let it take the shine off such a satisfying and exciting experience. Lots of potential reasons for her behaviour..

1. She might be shy/socially awkward/neurodiverse and not sure how to arrange her face when smiled at

1. She might have resting bitch face when concentrating hard on trying to sing or listening to instructions.

1. She might be suffering some kind of emotional issues and just not inclined to smile.

1. She might have taken a dislike to you for some reason out of your control, eg you trigger memories of mean choir conductors from her past.

1. You may be misreading her expression.

Avoid looking at her and choose to look at the happier more relaxed faces, of which I'm sure there are plenty!!

Some people just permanently have a resting bitch face...
