To be bloody sick and tired

NC for this.

My name is Karen.

I have just left yet another FB group because I expressed an opinion (politely) and was called (by a guy, obviously) a Karen.

At what point do we start calling this hate speech? This is the second group I've had to leave this week (perhaps I need to choose my FB groups more carefully) due to being slagged off by my name. For voicing a genuinely mild opinion.

I thought it would have died a death by now but apparently not. I feel like crying sometimes. I'm too old to change my name and why should I? I always call them out on it but I'm just sick of it all now.

It's lazy, misogynistic and belittling. (For reference, I'm not named Karen).

I’ve been called ‘a Karen’ by a bloke and my name isn’t Karen. I also got told to ‘go back to onlyfans’??? More like ‘onlynans’ at my age. I just don’t let it get to me.

It’s pure misogyny. Which disappointingly women hope on board with as often as men.

I don't normally but for some reason this time it has. Perhaps because it's the second time this week.

Normally I just tell them to grow up but it becomes wearing.

I think I shall start reporting it every time.
