To see a face in this picture?

As the title reads, Is it just me or does anyone else see a face looking out of the window?

It looks like a shadow.

I can see shapes which look a bit like the scream mask. Is that what you're thinking OP?

I don’t see a face, I see something that could be a head - backlit or back of head - or alternatively it could be the back of an office chair, or anything else that might be in a room.

Is it a problem if there’s a face in a window?

I took the photo from the end of my friends garden, she was with me. Nobody was in the house and under that window Is a dining table.

On second viewing it could also be the end of a chunky sleigh-bed headboard.

I see a kind of guinea pig face but it is just from the wallpaper pattern or something. Is that what you mean?
Or do you just mean the wood-like oval?

I don't see anything interesting or uncanny.

Her window frames are rotting - she’s likely to need to replace them. And the wallpaper is hideous.

I do. Eyes in the wallpaper, round shadow is the nose and dark but at bottom of windows frame is the mouth. I see faces everywhere!

You are most likely correct.

It does look like a face to me as I can see a nose shape, but it could be various shadows that make up a face shape. It looks like there’s a net curtain there which is somewhat obscuring the object and contributes to the shadow effect. Look up pareidolia - seeing faces in objects is so common. It’s pattern recognition

If it was a person surely it would be moving - an intruder probably wouldn’t just sit there. What did she say, is she scared to go back in? I think for my own house I’d either know what it could be, or be freaked out.

I haven't shown her the picture, I was taking a photo of her garden Halloween display and noticed this in the window.

The human brain is wired to recognise human faces and this extends to sometimes seeing faces in were they don't actually exist. When you study it, that could be all sorts of things.

I can definitely. I can even make out the nose. Looks like quite an old fashioned face and doesn’t belong in this era. I hope I’ve not put the 💩s up ypu and your friend.

What’s an old fashioned face? Faces haven’t really changed in hundreds of years? And why, when talking about ghosts, are the spirits always people from bygone eras? It’s never Bob from over the road who died of a heart attack last week and has come back to check up on people before he crosses to the other side, it’s always John or Ann from the 1800s etc
