Help... is Covid nausea a thing? What helps?

Hi,

Did anyone else have nausea/vomiting with Covid? It's just like morning sickness... what helps? Been feeling awful for four days now... have a 11 month old to look after and the lack of food and tiredness is really getting to me. Any tips?

Thanks

Yes - there's always been a GI type of covid (from original strain onwards).

The most important thing you can do is rest as much as possible, and for as long as possible. And treat any symptoms with OTC remedies.

There's no telling how long it will last (varies wildly between people). Can DC's father take over for a while so you can rest?

Yep, had this with my latest bout. Ginger tea and tonic water helped me. A bit.

I haven't had it, but seen several reports that latest round of Covid can have nasty gastric symptoms.

Yes just getting over covid and very nauseous initially.

I'm in my 2nd week of it and had 48 hrs of nausea and upset stomach/bloating during that time. I forced myself to eat little and often and it helped- just plain biscuits/toast and ice lollies and ice cream. I'm lucky as I never actually vomited- just had these waves of feeling sick and this helped a bit.
Its been a weird one- 2 days of feeling a bit rough followed by 1 day if feeling pretty normal. Then waking up feeling like I'd been hit by a boulder and my throat was full of broken glass- 2 days with that. Crushing headache, copious amounts of mucous (nice!) and shivery hot/cold as well.
Now down to just the hacking cough and feeling more like myself. It's been delightful 😫DH has it now- he is a week behind me. He doesn't have a dressing gown thankfully but has slippers of sorrow to shuffle around in.

When I had Covid just as it should have been coming to an end the nausea started .
It was worse than the Covid and I was off work for a the week .
What helped me was the Michael Mosely recipe for Healing Broth
It's a faff to make my I have a stash in the freezer and it comes out of anyone has an upset tummy.
Seriously was the best thing ever x

Yep it is 😢 I’ve been taking anti-nausea meds to help with the symptoms.
