DP have not long turned 70 and there have been a few very small incidents that make me wonder if I should be a bit concerned about them? Just to say I'm not hugely worried but it's just little things that are out of character. Some examples are...they bought a stick on black out blind and had to call me to ask how to stick the suckers on the window because they couldn't do it? We went to the supermarket today and my mum had to look around for a minute to figure out where to put the coin in the trolley? I made a comment and she laughed saying it was so long since she did it (fair enough, they're retired so will often just pick up things then they need them rather than do a huge weekly shop but still?). Another thing was DM asked if I could ask a mum friend where she got a some earmuffs so she could get some for DD birthday. I said I would ask and text her, contacted my friend and then forwarded the text to DP. They thought it was from me and stayed in all morning because part of the text said "will give you DD hat back tomorrow morning" meaning my friend would swap back my DD hat. My DP never responded to the text querying why I would bring back DD hat to them but instead I got a text the next morning saying "I take it you're not coming round?"
AIBU to think lots of these little things are maybe a sign of aging? My parents have always been very capable and have never acted like this...
