Trick or treaters at this time

I just had a knock at 9:45 and it trick or treaters!
I couldn't believe it!
It was 2 children aged about 11/12 years and their mum.
I had no decorations up either as I don't get home till 7:30pm.and didn't want to be disturbed.

Why did you answer the door?

VapeVamp12 · 31/10/2024 22:39

We had some ring the bell at 9.35pm. All downstairs lights off as I'm currently dealing with 2DC with a sickness bug on top of having it myself 🤢

Ridiculous time to call. We had some earlier on but that's way too late in my opinion.

Fools. I ran out (I had well over 200 sweets) before 7.30. Anyone out that late is not going to get much response.

I'll swap you for fireworks right now at 00:41.

I have a sign, one side says trick or treat, the other say oh no we are out of candy.

Also in my area there's an unwritten rule that if the lights off, don't knock. So all the inflatables were deflated by 8.30, the outside light was off. The welcome mat had been withdrawn!

Some people need to go late, shift work etc. but a lot knocking at 8 said there weren't many houses who still had sweets!
