When to complain to DFS?

I was due a sofa delivery today from DFS. I got a text message late this afternoon from the external delivery company they use to say my delivery has been cancelled due to a vehicle breakdown and they've rescheduled. I took a day's annual leave today especially for this. Ok, vehicle breakdown can't be helped, so I looked online at reviews for this external delivery company and it happens many times. I've paid over £100 for delivery to DFS. I am pissed off.

Why would you not complain immediately? You had an agreement with DFS for a delivery, which did not occur, for which you took a day off work. I think they need to rearrange delivery at your convenience.

Definitely complain for the reasons mentioned. The rescheduled delivery is no longer worth what you have paid because it has been rescheduled.

I've complained now. I just hope it turns up on Saturday and fits through the door as I'm reading reviews of delivery men not even attempting to fit it through doors.

They give measurements of it packed and tell you to check the door width, so as long as you've done that and it will fit, the delivery guys are normally really good.

Upsetting and annoying as it not arriving today is, if it was a genuine breakdown then it can't be helped. I had my dfs sofa delivered a few weeks ago and the delivery guys were really helpful, though they did had 40 more drops after me!!
